LENTEN SERIES
Restorative Justice
Wednesdays
February 25 - March 25
Soup Supper 6:00p Program 6:45-7:30p
This Lent, Parkview invites you to explore a powerful intersection of faith and justice through our special series on Restorative Justice.
Beginning Wednesday, February 25th and continuing throughout the Lenten season, we'll gather to examine how deep listening, mindfulness, and storytelling form the spiritual foundation of healing and reconciliation in our communities.
Restorative justice moves beyond punishment to focus on healing relationships, understanding harm, and building peace. It's a practice deeply rooted in spiritual values of compassion, forgiveness, and human dignity – principles at the heart of our Christian faith.
We're honored to be led by Dr. Mark Umbreit and Jacob Otis from the University of Minnesota's Center for Restorative Justice and Peacemaking. Their decades of experience in conflict resolution, peace-building, and restorative dialogue will guide us through this meaningful Lenten journey.
We offer an optional free soup supper with fixings before each program, where you can meet and connect with other attendees.

ASH WEDNESDAYBegin your Lenten journey with this traditional service of reflection and preparation. Through ancient rituals and meaningful liturgy, we mark the beginning of the season that leads to Easter. The imposition of ashes reminds us of our mortality and our need for God's grace, setting the tone for forty days of spiritual renewal.
Whether this is your first Ash Wednesday or you've observed this tradition for years, you're welcome to begin this sacred season with us. |
