SMALL GROUP ACTIVITIES
ADULT BIBLE STUDY
Sunday mornings at 9:00 a.m., during the program year (Sept. - May) we have a bible study group, led by lay people, that reflects on the Bible passages chosen for that day's worship. This group meets in the church parlor.
WALK FOR YOUR LIFE
The women of Parkview enjoy some excercise and fellowship on Monday mornings. In the summer they meet at 9:00 a.m. in the public parking along Banning Avenue in White Bear Lake and take a long walk along Lake Avenue, followed by coffee at Washington Square. During the winter months they walk in Parkview's building at 9:00 a.m. All are welcome.
MEN'S BREAKFAST CLUB
The Men's Breafast Club meets Thursday mornings 9:00 a.m. in Parkview's Fellwship Hall.
Men in this organization first gathered for a committee-prepared breakfast in the church Fellowship Hall. Unconfirmed tradition hints that the Pastor wanted a forum to test the men's attentiveness at last Sunday's sermon.
However, today's reasons for gathering are many: we enjoy a good meal along with free-ranging conversation among Parkview UCC men.
While we share our interests and concerns about Parkview UCC and the wider church, they do not crowd out tales of golfing, fishing, traveling, pride of children and grandchildren or whatever we would like to share.
DINE OUT FELLOWSHIP
The Dine Out groups gather for lunch or dinner at a venue and frequency of their choice. The members of each group are assigned and will meet as that group for 8-10 months. Givng them an opportunity for fellowship and connecting with people they wouldn't otherwise connect with. new groups are established each year.
BOOK CLUB
The Book Club meets on the third Monday of the month in our Fellowship Hall.
June Book: “The Royal Governess” by Wendy Holden We will meet for lunch on Monday, June 20 @ 1:00 p.m. at Sue Clancy’s.
July Book: “Somewhere in the Unknown World” by Kao Kalia Yang. We will meet on Monday July 18 @ 1:00 p.m. in Fellowship Hall
